This painting is small yet it makes a big impact. It was created on a 6 X 12 inch board. I created it with many layers of sheet music, deli papers, sand, sawdust, thread and acrylic paints. With multiple layers and sanding inbetween layers, the Dressmaker appeared. It took many hours to finish. One of my favorites to create!

I dreamed of painting for many years but did not feel I had time to devote to art. Now, I spend a lot of my time in the studio. Painting is a passion and I enjoy seeing what will develop on the canvas.
I have always felt energy from nature and enjoy blending the colors of nature often times getting unexpected results.
We have eight artists in the Pushin Building Artists' Studio. We come and go when the artistic mood hits. Often, several of us will be working at the same time and in the same colors!
Abstracts are my favorite type of painting. When I first start a painting, I often see the end result. Other times, the paint and canvas tell me how to continue.
I have completed many commissions and have several repeat clients. I love when my client sees the finished painting for the first time and is very happy with it.
